60 GHz T/R Modules Enable Short-Range Multi-Gigabit Indoor Communications

You know us for our microwave radio transceivers that move large packets of voice and data across town. But how about across the living room? In our latest 60 GHz transmit/receive device, we’ve seamlessly integrated all the right pieces into a compact module card that enables gigabit data transfer between digital electronics. Utilizing independent TX and RX local oscillators with programmable phase lock loops, the module allows direct conversion with carrier cancellation, or intermediate conversion with an IF up to 1 GHz. It’s the ultimate in frequency-plan versatility and system architecture flexibility for applications like wireless HDTV and mobile distributed computing. Solutions for lower frequency Wireless Home Digital Interface (WHDI) applications are also available.
